How do we breathe?
Air takes the
following path though our body:
·
When
we breathe in, air enters the body though the nose or mouth.
·
Then
it travels down a long tube called the trachea
or windpipe.
·
Next
it continues though two pipes called the bronchi
to the lungs.
·
The
lungs are the most important organs
of the respiratory system. Here, oxygen passes from air into the blood.
·
Finally,
we breathe out to expel carbon dioxide.
